I'm throwing a birthday party for myself. I forgot to invite Tom so Jeff and I pick him up at his parents house on University. It's at a Mexican restaurant and there's a big buffet. I go up to the bar and ask for a drink. The guy pours some dark tequila into a glass and I tel him I want something NA. 

11/28/23

I'm with Tom Bloomer. We're in Ferndale and we stop in to visit one of his friends. He's a big guy and he just got finished using his rowing machine. It's a newer model and he shows it to me. He tells me he rows for several hours a day. I tell him for a good cardio workout, he only needs to row for 20 or 30 minutes a day. 

I'm in Alganac a someone's house on the water. He has a small boat and I ask him if Hannah and I can take it out. He tells me I should buy it. We bomb around and come across and area that has some interesting white rock formations just under the surface of the water.

I keep being bitten by fleas on my legs. I swat them away but they keep coming back.

I'm going golfing with my dad. There are a ton of people on the course. We have to tee off from a raised platform It's too narrow and I end up quitting. 

I'm at a job and need to call someone for more information. I have a hard time using the phone. The dial only has three numbers on it. There's a special way you tap one of the numbers a couple times to get other numbers. I keep calling Brian accidentally. He calls security and when they come I explain the problem.

I'm in New Jersey, maybe visiting Jim's parents. I get dropped off on a grassy hill overlooking the ocean. I look down and see some whales playing. A kid sits down next to me. He looks sort of like Alex Weiner and he's super annoying and won't shut up. Then a creature that looks like Camera floats up to the surface. He's huge and is dark blue-green with a white belly.

I was going to go to a business event with Marge. Afterwards, we were going to spend the night together. Finally she tells me she's still married and it's off.

(I wake up. When I fall back asleep the dream continues)

I'm at Campbell-Ewald and Rick Simmons wants me to work on a project with him. We go into Kent's office and he says no. I hear that Tija and David are getting divorced and we're supposed to keep it a secret. I see Tija in her old beat up Volvo and pretend I don't see her. Back at C-E Rick takes me to meet a creative director named Don and he tells him he want's me hired. Rick leaves and Don and I exchange witticisms. Then a secretary comes and unlocks the door to my new office. 

11/19/23

I'm on a bus with Carlesa on the west side. We need to get some papers signed at one of three UN buildings. Then we're eating in a Chinese restaurant. The food is goon except the crab on my plate is still moving. We wrap up our food to go. I have a large box and I put it onto a smaller bag. Then I'm at a junkyard with Andy & Deb. There are a ton of old freighters and airplanes there and I take a ton of pix of them. We wander around and Essie Kwan is its us. She needs to get on a train. We take some photos. I pose with a Chinese guy and his skin is really greasy. 

I drove downtown. I was going to get a cup of coffee. I bang into a bus and Cobo Hall. Then I drive down Atwater and it's really crowded. I go into a coffee shop and get a cappuccino.

We have to take a finals test. There are four questions. Someone says he'll do two of the questions and I can do two questions. It's for a Milton Covensky class.

We eat at a super fancy restaurant. There's an ice rink in the middle of the dining room. We go in and play a little hockey. Then we tell the manager he should let us play for free since we spent $1,000 in the restaurant over two nights. That way it would generate interest in the rink.

I'm in the kitchen at our home on Rivard with Paul. We do shots of some grapefruit liquor. Then I chug a beer. My folks are fighting and my dad is going to sleep outside the family room. My mom is cleaning up and puts away as couple big jugs of wine. I try to figure out where to sleep. I go up in the attic and Dave's in one of the beds. He looks like Alex Weiner and he follows me downstairs. He's really obnoxious and I tell him to get lost. 

We're up north a family reunion. We're playing video games and there's a big screen on the wall with the names of all the games that are available.  

11/11/23

I'm at the DSO and I'm only wearing boxer shorts. I'm walking around at intermission and I'm starting to get cold when I notice I'm almost naked. The Hawk makes a comment about it.

I'm working at Thompson again. At the end of the day I ask if I should come in again and they say yes. Then I take a crazy route home. One of the intersections is confusing and I end up having to drive through some small town I usually avoid. 

11/10/23

I'm at the symphony. During intermission I go out of the auditorium and mingle It's a bit chilly and I look down and realize I'm only wearing a pair of boxer shorts. I'm topless and don't have any shoes on. Tom comes up to me and chastises me about it. I figure I'll just act casual about it and no one will notice 

11/9/23

I'm a cop and I go undercover to investigate the Buscemi family and the Mafia. The city takes me to task for not showing up for things like crossing guard duty. I'm going to have to go to court. Then it dawns on me that I can use Amy as my attorney. We sit down and discuss the particulars of the suit. 

I'm in a factory working on a machine that looks like some sort of farm equipment. I have a wrench and remove one of the spark plugs. The Hawk calls to have someone come and fix it. I tell him to mention that there's a big oil leek--oil is pouring out everywhere. The machine was built by the Cornellie family.

Wally and I are watching a movie. We're drinking beer and he brings his own 6-pack of small bottles. He complains about how he dislikes the movie. I tell him about an earlier film in the series where if you do something nice. you get tapped with one of those swimming floats. He knocks over my beer on the carpeting and I mop it up with some paper toweling

I'm sailing around a small harbor. I stop in and join a Mexican Wedding. There's a buffet set up and I put various veggie things on my plate. I notice no one is drinking which I think is pretty odd. 

I'm driving around with Joe and her cousin Laura. It's pretty hilly--maybe upstate New York? We stop in at a tiny mall and they go inside. They spend hours there and I'm getting antsy about getting home. It starts to rain and I go under a picnic table only I still get wet.

There's a vicious attack dog at the front door. I put some poison pills on a couple of small paint cans and push them outside He eats them but it doesn't kill him. I try to avoid seeing him for the rest of the dream.

I'm in southwest England with Joe and Jim  Margo. After breakfast they go out to a pub for some pints. We've been in England for two weeks and it's the last day of our vacation. We haven't seen anything and there's a huge manor house and beautiful gardens nearby. I want to visit it and can't believe they just want to hang out in a pub. I go to the kids room and they're drinking white wine. I run into another family and I tell them about the manor house and show them the listing in my guide book. I tell them to go tho the local tourist office and get some maps. 

11/2/23

I'm in a party store and they have some really interesting half gallons of ice cream. I buy two and start walking home. I'm near I-94 and Chalmers. I run into Ron Omelion and he tells me not to head towards Mack because it's a crappy neighborhood. The ice cream is starting to melt so I go into another store and put it in the freezer. Then I'm walking home with the ice cream in a plastic bag and it's starting to melt. The vanilla one is in a plastic milk jug and is only about 1/4 full. I taste it and it's okay. 

I'm hanging out with a mechanic. He has an old jalopy and it runs really smooth. He tells me the parts are from all different vehicles including a Packard. Then he tells me I'm going to race in a Formula One car the next day. It's on my bucket list! I ask a ton of questions like how do you shift gears, etc. I'm staying at a hotel near I-94 and Chalmers.

I'm in a shed/union hall that supports sticking auto workers. I'm walking around with my dad and we go up to a meat counter.
